When the rain finally comes it is often more extreme than it used to be. The soil is not ready for the heavy rain and gets washed away. The soil that is left is less fertile. We try to conserve the soil by planting trees. I have a tree nursery where I grow seedlings. Trees are less vulnerable to the changes in weather and therefore a secure investment. But it is expensive to have a tree nursery, and we need the equipment.
